DOLPHIN HEAD RECREATION AREA
Nestled along the serene shores of the Port Royal Sound, the Dolphin Head Recreation Area is Hilton Head Plantation’s crown jewel—and for good reason. As our most recently renovated (and most beloved!) community amenity, Dolphin Head offers something for everyone, whether you’re seeking relaxation, recreation, or a bit of both.

Step into paradise as you make your way toward Pine Island, HHP’s privately accessed beach, via the beautifully designed boardwalk that begins right here. Along the way, catch glimpses of dolphins dancing in the sound from thoughtfully placed benches that offer front-row seats to nature’s show.

Families will be delighted by the spectacular playground, brought to life by Carolina Parks and Play and outfitted by Landscape Structures. Just steps away, sports enthusiasts will appreciate a full basketball court that easily converts into three pickleball courts, making it the perfect place to meet neighbors and spark a little friendly competition.
The Dolphin Head Recreation Center serves as a sophisticated gathering space for HHP clubs and is also available to residents for private rentals at a nominal fee. Right outside, a picturesque open-air event lawn hosts concerts, art shows, and seasonal festivities, enhancing the vibrant social fabric of the community.

Cap it all off with a walk—or a tail-wagging trot—along the beloved Bluff Walk, a nearly mile-long path hugging the coast and inviting you to bask in sea breezes and breathtaking views of our rich tidal ecosystem.

Located in the very heart of Hilton Head Plantation, the Spring Lake Recreation Area is a vibrant hub for fitness, fun, and community connection. Whether you're an athlete, a family looking for weekend adventure, or simply seeking serenity, Spring Lake has something for everyone.

RACQUET CLUB
Love the game? So do we. The Spring Lake Racquet Club is your go-to destination for tennis, pickleball, and bocce—boasting 12 pristine Har-Tru tennis courts and 4 meticulously maintained bocce courts. Under the expert direction of tennis pro Trevor Scott, players of all levels can sharpen their skills or try something new like Spec Tennis, the club’s exciting addition to its lineup of offerings. With USTA-sanctioned tournaments, friendly matches, and lively social events, there’s always something happening on the courts. We are also honored to host the 2025 Special Olympics Tennis Tournament, showcasing both our passion for sport and our commitment to community.
SPRING LAKE POOL
This isn’t just a pool—it’s a resort-style escape! Built in 2016, our multi-million-dollar aquatic complex features a zero-depth entry, waterfall palm trees, a lazy river, and a splash pad that delights the young and young at heart. With umbrella-shaded seating, spacious cabanas, and early access for lap swimmers, it’s the perfect place to relax or recharge from April 1st through October 31st. Lifeguards are on duty during peak times for added peace of mind.

PAVILION
With scenic views of Spring Lake, the Spring Lake Pavilion is both a tranquil retreat and a dynamic event venue. The ground floor offers an inviting indoor space with a full kitchen, sound system, and access to a tiered, partially covered deck—complete with a fire pit and cozy rocking chairs. Upstairs, you'll find a spacious fitness studio, a large outdoor deck with table seating, and a balcony overlooking the tennis courts. This picturesque venue is home to fitness classes, club meetings, and is available for resident rentals—perfect for your next private gathering.
THE PLANTATION HOUSE
Think of The Plantation House as Hilton Head Plantation’s living room—a welcoming space where neighbors gather, friendships are formed, and community life unfolds. Warm, inviting, and centrally located, it serves as the headquarters for our Lifestyle Services Division and a favorite meeting place for clubs, public forums, and special events.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and casual bar area—perfect for residents looking to host a celebration, potluck, or family reunion. Upstairs, the cozy community library offers an inviting escape with books, games, and comfortable seating designed for both quiet moments and shared conversations.
And there’s even more to look forward to. The Plantation House is next in line for a thoughtfully designed capital improvement project. Plans for the new facility include modern amenities, elevator access, a dog park, and a bandshell for live performances—all aimed at enriching the everyday experience of HHP residents.
