Main Street sewer repair set for Tuesday, Feb. 9
A contractor for Hilton Head Public Service District (PSD) will be performing repairs on a sewer line on Main Street, between Central Avenue and Museum Street, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. Drivers in the area should use caution and expect delays. The contractor will provide traffic control at the site.

Expect Construction Delays at the Main Gate. Inbound lane detour -- watch for flagmen. To avoid delays, please use the Cypress Gate.

Construction
Work on replacing 75 feet of underground storm drainage pipe at High Bluff Road/ Oyster Reef Cove will commence on Wed., Jan. 27. Construction hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Oyster Reef Cove traffic will be detoured to one lane with flagmen. Oyster Reef Cove will be opened to two-way traffic overnights from 7:00 PM until 7:00 AM via steel road plates.
High Bluff Road will be restricted to 20 mph through the work zone, but two lanes will remain open, with the westbound lane moved onto the shoulder via a temporary gravel surface.
Pedestrian pathway traffic will be routed to the existing the cart path. It is preferred that all bicyclists dismount and walk their bicycles through the construction zone.
